get this, it should be done: if you own nightfall = you can get inscriptable weapons to drop in tyria and cantha.
if you own nightfall, at either endgame or at a npc in the chapter (anywhere) they can infuse the power of insignias onto your armor from maybe a quest or just cash, something to get you insignias on old armors.

Ok, I've tried sayin this before, and apparently most peope ignored me.
Did they make it so that I can get ANY of the Factions stats on Tyrian armour? (Gladiators, Necrotic, Star Patern...etc.) No.
So then why would they suddenly decide to make it so that you can get a Nightfall feature on Tyrian and Canthan armour?
Frankly, it's bad enough that you can get Factions armour stats for your Nighfall armour (Survivor, Blessed, Sentry's, Herald's, Sentinel's, Scout's, Disciple's...etc.). I can understand having Tyrian armour stats availible, since it's basically core.

This is one of the features that really needs to be added. I think it's a little unfair advantage that NF players can do these things, and the players of other chapters can't.

Nice idea, but Anet is never going to do it. I mean did they give tyria factions armor crafters after the second chapter came out? Likewise what if people want factions-type armor crafters and weapon smiths in nightfall?
I say keep insignias to NF where they belong.

What game are you playing? The only changes that they made to Tyrian armour was with the release of Nightfall.

Actually, he's right. They did update the Tyrian armours just before* Factions was released. They removed the energy penalty from things like Judge's and upgraded Dragon, Wyvern and Platemail be up to par with Dreadnought.
*IIRC it took awhile for previously crafted armours to recieve the update. It finally came when they implimented that item-update macro to deal with things like Denravi items etc.

It should be noted that a NF only player would be very confused by the fact that FoW, which they have access to, is not only the most expensive but also the only suit for them that cannot be given insignia.

I've recently started a new Tyrian ranger to get the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title, but I'm not gonna keep her in pre-searing. The reason I signed this is because I wanna get 15k studded leather for her (best looking armour for ranger so far, in my opinion), but who really wants armour vs lightning damage? Okay, lightning damage can be quite powerful at times, but it's not terribly common, and I'm a ranger so most lightning attacks probably won't even be fired at me.
I can see why people want inscriptions exclusive to nightfall, and I say that if there were a change, then having a new NPC placed somewhere in the NF campaign, or even a new tab added to armour crafters only in Elona, would be the best. After all, inscriptions are part of Nightfall. If all armour was just modified throughout the two older campaigns, it would slightly devalue the new one (Only slightly. Nightfall is a great game. Much better than Factions).

I reiterate my support and desire of this.
It was mean that they changed my headpiece to +1 energy. A ridiculous default, it is.
Not going to blow a load of cash to re-buy character art across all my thugs that I already bought once.

Seems like most people who voted against it say it's because it should remain exclusive to Nightfall, but can we agree they should at least let us upgrade the foreign armor if we have Nightfall? (as suggested, put a special NPC in Kamadan)
That way, it remains exclusive to Nightfall, Anet Win.
We can now use any Art with any Function, We Win.
We all Win, so Anet, why not?
... Somebody please tell Gaile about this thread.

I think it will be good to place some NPC like "Armor Insignier" somewhere in Nightfall - in Kamadan or Chantry of Secrets (in this case player will need to buy Nightfall before he can upgrade his armor). It will be the best decision of the problem.

I don't find it fair that NF armour is more powerful then other armours. Then again life isn't fair ... but the Devs can make it fairer!

No way I'm paying another 75k + materials for more - personal armor.
I'm happy with my current armor with the exception of stats. I'd like the freedom to change often without having to buy a new armor set. I also hate having more than 2 full armor sets (10 slots - and that's vital with our little storage) for different builds.
I'd be happy being able to use one set of armor, and being able to change insignias/runes at will.

There are different types of armor with different insignias already on them...I don't think they will make an NPC to "strip" the insignia off. They should make one you try and apply take over the stock insignia.
/signed ...on getting new insignias on old armor, not on stripping npc tho.
